Vision Zero Traffic Safety Training in Indiana: Visual Notes from a Community Action Workshop I captured visual notes at a Vision Zero traffic safety training in Indiana, where community leaders built skills in advocacy, data analysis, and action planning.

Right here in my city, community advocates, neighborhood leaders, transportation and public health professionals, planners, educators, and anyone committed to creating safer streets across Indiana convened for this  full-day interactive training designed to equip community leaders, advocates, and professionals with tools to advance traffic safety initiatives with the goal of eliminating roadway fatalities in Indiana. I had the pleasure of taking visual notes for a mix of presentations, discussions, and hands-on activities, while participants explored the Vision Zero framework, learned practical advocacy skills, and left with a clear action plan.

Takeaways included a strong foundation in Vision Zero, skills in walk audits and data analysis, strategies for advocacy and communication, and a personal action plan to begin implementing change in our community.
